Female-Led Comedy in Santa Barbara, CA

Since 2024 Wasted Potential Comedy has been bringing more stage time to the comedians of the up-and-coming Santa Barbara Comedy Scene! We truly believe that all comedians deserve stage time to hone and perfect their craft, which is why we focus on balancing our shows with brand new comics alongside seasoned professionals.

Wasted Potential is Ashley, Lauren, and Riley--three friends who met during a pandemic and bonded through comedy. We love our home of Santa Barbara and are excited to contribute to putting it on the comedy map!

Co-Founder

Lauren Kruszyna

Lauren Kruszyna is a Vermont native who moved to California ten years ago. she's a full time teacher with a background in literature and writing. She writes murder mysteries in her free time and has been doing stand up for the last 2 years.

Riley Mahoney

Riley is a Santa Barbara local. She's a musician who has music out anywhere music is streamed or sold. She has been doing stand up around town for 2 years and is also a personal chef.

Ashley Blom

Ashley Blom is a massachusetts native that finally made it out to California during a global pandemic to call Santa Barbara home. She has a background in musical theater, drama, improv, sketch and now stand up! See her perform regularly with @jestimprov in Ventura.
